Yahoo Finance app is now available for Mac M1

Apple’s Stocks app is pretty basic and if you’re looking for a much better app with more controls and push alerts, Yahoo Finance is a great app for iPhone and iPad.
In a recent update this week, Yahoo announced that its Finance app is now available for Macs with M1. This brings the iPad version of the Yahoo Finance app to Mac computers powered by M1.
Here’s what’s new in this Yahoo Finance update:
- Supports multitasking and multiple app windows with drag and drop simplicity.
- The tab bar has been replaced with the new and improved sidebar to make navigation more intuitive and allow quick access to key elements of the application.
- You can also hide the sidebar to create more room for the financial content that interests you.
- The citation view has been updated to make information more accessible, digestible, and easier to navigate.
Yahoo says that for iPad users, the masking sidebar and quote viewing features will soon be available on their devices.
Once you have downloaded and installed Yahoo Finance on your Mac M1, simply log in with your Yahoo account and all of your investments will be there. Now you’ll have all of the app’s features from your Mac, including setting up price alerts, without having to grab your iPhone or iPad. The fonts are too small, but so far it’s a good start.
