WhatsApp spotted a new interface for voice calls on Android, iOS

WhatsApp was seen developing a new interface for voice calls. The interface would be part of the Android and iOS versions of the instant messaging app. WhatsApp can provide an improved experience for individual and group voice calls through the new interface. However, the changes are not yet accessible, even for beta testers. It means that users may need to wait some time to get the updated voice call interface.
According to a report from WhatsApp WABetaInfo beta tracking, WhatsApp has developed the new interface for voice calls to provide users with a more compact and modern experience. The source also shared some screenshots to compare the difference between the redesigned interface and the existing one.

The screenshot was taken from WhatsApp for iOS, although WABetaInfo says the same redesign would be part of WhatsApp for Android as well.
Details on when the redesigned interface will be available to users have yet to be revealed. As mentioned, the changes have yet to be made available to beta testers.
WhatsApp’s redesigned voice calling interface was spotted just months after the introduction of reachable group calling. The messaging app recently integrated its reachable calls feature into group chats to allow users to join ongoing voice or video calls directly from their groups.
WhatsApp was also recently seen developing end-to-end encryption metrics for calls and status updates. Additionally, WhatsApp Business beta testers recently received a shortcut for quick answers.
Along with the test features, WhatsApp updated the voicemail experience last week by rolling out a feature that allows users to preview their voicemail messages before sending them.
