Tired of Siri? 1 Easy Way To Get Amazon Alexa For iPhone, How To Use It
Since Siri has home control limitations, several iOS users use Amazon Alexa on their iPhones to operate many smart home devices.
For those who still don’t have the iPhone Alexa app, there is an easy way to get it.
Amazon Alexa on iPhone
The Cupertino-based tech company uses Siri on iPhone and iPad. Meanwhile, Android users are using Google Assistant on their phones. In addition to these virtual assistants, the American multinational Amazon offers a variety of speakers and smart displays compatible with Alexa.
Screen Rant added that these AI assistants can be of great benefit to anyone who wants to check the weather or control their smart home gadgets. Compared to that, some of these helpers, like all things in life, are better than others.
There are a few things Google Assistant is good at, but Siri and Alexa each have their own specialties. While some iOS users think they are limited to using Siri only, it should be noted that they can also use Amazon Alexa on their iPhone to operate any smart home device.

1 way to get the Alexa app for iPhone
According to the Amazon Alexa app on the App Store, iOS users can control Alexa-enabled devices, control music playback, view shopping lists on the go, track upcoming reminders, check active timers, and more.
When iPhone owners activate Alexa hands-free mode, they can speak with the virtual assistant by simply saying “Alexa” while the app is open on the iPhone.
“The more you use Alexa, the more it adapts to your voice, vocabulary and personal preferences,” continues the description of the iPhone application Alexa.
To have said application, the simple step is to search for “Amazon Alexa” on the App Store. Once located, iOS users should press the “Download” button to get the free Alexa app. Once the app is installed, open it and then sign in with a respective Amazon account.
How to use the Amazon Alexa app
To use the app, tap the blue Alexa symbol at the top of the screen to return to the Alexa app home page. To issue a voice command or request, just tap the blue icon.
Surprisingly, iOS users can also send Alexa a command text message instead of using voice commands. To do this, tap on the keyboard symbol in the upper left corner of the screen from the home page of the Alexa app.
In doing so, it directs users to a website where they can enter requests and commands for Alexa, which is useful in cases where they cannot speak to the assistant.
Will Alexa replace Siri?
According to Cnet, some functions are exclusively available for Siri, like adjusting the brightness of an iPhone screen, activating do not disturb mode and more. A third-party assistant cannot do anything that changes the settings of the iPhone or iPad.
However, Alexa can do a lot more than Siri, especially for newly purchased smart home gadgets that are HomeKit compatible.
For example, Siri can’t operate smart plugs, doorbell cameras, and various other devices, but Alexa can. It only means that the two virtual assistants offer different functionality.
