How to Reverse Video on Your iPhone

IPhone users should be aware that it does not come with any feature that allows users to reverse videos on the device. To do this, they need to install third-party apps to reverse recorded video and play it backwards.

One example is Reverse Vid, a free and user-friendly mobile app that will easily let you reverse videos on your iPhone or iPad. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the search bar. Type “Reverse Vid” and press the “search” button on the keyboard.
  3. From the search results shown, download the app titled “Reverse Vid: Play It Backwards”. Tap on it and install the app.
  4. On the home page, choose the type of video you want to reverse. If you want to record a new video when launching the app, tap “New”. The other option is to select a previously recorded video or screen recording to reverse by clicking “Library”.
  5. After choosing a video to reverse, you can adjust the speed at which the video reverses using the slider bar. This is located at the bottom center of your screen. You can press “Preview” and the app will automatically reverse the video for you at your desired speed.
  6. Once you are satisfied with the result, you can click “Save” in the upper right corner.

However, some people may not want to download an entire app for this purpose, especially if it’s a one-time use. For that, you can use the Video Reverser tool from Clideo.

  1. Go to the browser of your choice and type “Clideo Video Inverter Tool” into the search bar. Head to the website from the search results.
  2. There will be a “Choose File” button in the center of the page. Tap on it.
  3. You will have the option to upload a clip that you want to reverse. After that, the website will automatically reverse the video for you.

Note that the tool is accessible from any browser. Moreover, its availability is not limited only to an iPhone. You can access it from any device. This includes a Windows or Mac computer, or an Android phone or an iPhone.

If your video is stored in a cloud account, you can upload it directly to Clideo’s tool. Just click the down arrow on the right side of the button and a drop-down menu will appear with the options for Dropbox and Google Drive.

If the video you want to reverse can be found online, use the text box at the bottom of the screen. This will allow you to paste a URL video link so that the clip can be downloaded directly from a webpage.
